The church originally belonged to a priory , which was manned by ten regular canons . Traces of the fire started by the Baron des Adrets in 1562 are still visible. The building was rebuilt in the 12th century while retaining the existing apse . In the 14th century, after the nave collapsed , the northern part of the three western bays and the facade were rebuilt. On the south side there is a round arched portal with an antique gable similar to that in the south porch of the Church of St-Restitut in Drôme .

Inside a gallery carries a magnificent organ from the 17th / 18th centuries. Century. The apse, which was built on a crypt that was filled in in the 19th century , is lower than the nave. A frieze runs along the nave , which is sometimes interrupted by a historicizing plaque. This type of decoration can also be seen in the former cathedral of Carpentras .
