The Nouère is a river in France that runs in the Charente department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises under the name La Rivière du Temple near the hamlet of Le Temple in the north-western municipality of Rouillac , generally drains in a southeastern direction through the Angoumois landscape and flows into the western greater Angoulême area , in the municipality of Linars , as a right tributary after around 26 kilometers the Charente . At its mouth, the Nouère crosses the LGV Sud Europe Atlantique railway line .
