Nussbach - "the village of sunflowers" - is a district of the town of Oberkirch in the Ortenaukreis in Baden-Württemberg . Nussbach has 1718 inhabitants on an area of ​​5.31 km² (of which 0.38 km² is forest). It is the oldest parish in the Renchtal and, with the parish church of St. Sebastian, also has the oldest church in the valley.

Events

The Nussbach village festival

Since 1994, the thousandth anniversary of the village, a three-day village festival has been held every year in August. The local associations organize catering for the festival visitors. They erect numerous tents and stalls for this purpose. The festival is known, among other things, for the festival mile lavishly decorated with flowers and figures of hay bales. Other special attractions of the festival result from the romantic atmosphere along the brook, as well as from the numerous sunflowers planted for this occasion in the fields near the village.
