Nudersdorf is a village and part of the Lutherstadt Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt . and is located approx. 9 km northwest of the city center in the Fläming Nature Park .

history

The place has its origin in the former manor, today's castle. Nudersdorf does not have its own farm and is considered a "green residential area".

The name Nudersdorf is derived from "Niedersdorf", for "low-lying village" . The place was popularly known as "birch bush" until the 20th century. However , this name has nothing to do with the birch , which is found there in large stocks, but has its origin in the following: The place and the hare hunt in the surrounding forest belonged to the Electoral Saxon Chancellor Gregor Brück during Luther's time and was therefore called " Brückes Busch ”, from which the word birch bush later emerged.
