Nunzio DeFilippis (born May 6, 1970 in Flushing , Queens , New York ) is an American writer of comics and television programs.

DeFilippis is writing with his wife, Christina Weir , whom he met when they were both students at Vassar College . The two have written for two seasons on HBO's Arli $$ and sold story ideas to Disney Channels Kim Possible . They have written several graphic novels and mini-series comics for independent publisher Oni Press , including Skinwalker , Three Strikes , Maria's Wedding , The Tomb , Once In A Blue Moon and the recently released Past Lies .

Her work at Oni led to work at Marvel Comics and the re-release of the very latest version of the teenage mutant comic book New Mutants . The comic was in New X-Men: Academy X renamed. Your run in these comics included three years and created nearly two dozen new mutant characters with super powers of Marvel's X-Men - franchise , including Surge , Hellion , Wind Dancer , Prodigy , Wallflower , Elixir , day , Rockslide , Mercury , Anole and Wither .

You've also written for DC Comics , with stories appearing in Wonder Woman , Adventures of Superman, and the latest Secret Files . The duo also work in the expanding field of Japanese manga, delivering the English adaptations for the Del Rey titles Guru-Guru Pon-Chan , Sugar Sugar Rune and Kagetora . They also wrote an original English manga for Seven Seas Entertainment , one of the company's opening titles , Amazing Agent Luna, and the upcoming pirate manga Destiny's Hand . DeFilippis also wrote a copy of DC Comics Detective Comics without his wife .
