Nuthin 'but a' G 'Thang ( English for " nothing but a' gangsta 'thing ") is a song by the American rapper and music producer Dr. Dre , which he recorded with rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg . The song is the first single from his debut solo album The Chronic and was released on November 19, 1992.

In which to 'but a' Nuthin G 'Thang twisted music video , Dr. Dre himself directed.
At the beginning, Dr. Dre in a lowrider outside Snoop Doggy Dogg's house in Long Beach to pick him up. They go to a grill party and rap the first verses while standing in a crowd. At the party, some people are also playing volleyball, with one of the players having a bikini top pulled down. Then they drive in a motorcade to another party in a house. It is now dark and they are rapping again in a crowd. Some scenes show an annoyed partygoer who is finally splashed with alcohol. At the end of the video, Dr. Dre Snoop Doggy Dogg, who is clearly drunk, exits his house again. The video also features rappers Warren G , Daz Dillinger and The DOC .

In total, the song stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 for 27 weeks . In the US annual charts in 1993, the single was ranked 11th and in the charts of the decade number 95. In addition, the song reached position 31 in the United Kingdom and 39th in New Zealand. In contrast, the song could not be in the top 100 in Germany.
