Nylon was a band from Berlin . Her style was characterized by the mixture of well-known songs, hits and chansons with electronica and jazz elements.

history

In spring 2004, while listening to Hildegard Knef, Micatone members Hagen Demmin and Paul Kleber had the idea of wrapping such older music in a more modern guise. With three other musician friends, they founded the band Nylon. Already in July, her first album was released with Love Comes , on which twelve songs from Marlene Dietrich to Ideal were reinterpreted.

The second album Eine kleine Sehnsucht followed in September 2005 . It only contained three cover versions in addition to seven own compositions, after these own pieces had been well received by the audience on a tour.

Two years later, in 2007, the third and final album 10 songs about love was released. Contrary to the title, it contained eleven titles instead of ten, including five own pieces, the first publication of a third-party piece and five cover songs by Carole King , Hildegard Knef (composition Günter Noris ) and three times Manfred Krug alias Clemens Kerber (compositions Günther Fischer ).

The band project ended at the latest with Lisa Bassenge's solo album Nur fort, which was released in early 2011 . The following year, Wish I Was Here , a new album by the Micatone musicians , followed for the first time since 2005 .
