The Upper Austrian Transport Association ( OÖVV for short ) is a transport association that supplies a large part of the Upper Austria area with public transport services.

structure

The transport association is organized as OÖ Verkehrsverbund-Organizations  GmbH Nfg. & Co KG (OÖVG), which is wholly owned by the State of Upper Austria (through OÖ Verkehrsholding and OÖ Landesholding ). Politically, he is subordinate to the Public Transport Group of the Department of Overall Transport Planning and Public Transport within the Road Construction and Transport Directorate of the Province of Upper Austria.

The transport association covers the entire state. In the Salzkammergut and in the area of ​​the provincial border with Salzburg, there are offers overlapping with the Salzburg and Styrian transport associations , as well as with the Lower Austria-Burgenland transport association on the state border with Lower Austria .

Services

In the city of Linz, 8.2 million kilometers are covered by 30 lines of Linz AG Linien. In Wels, the company sabtours covers 1.1 million kilometers with 14 lines. The Steyrer Stadtwerke reach 840,000 kilometers and achieve this with 13 lines. In regional traffic, 28 million kilometers are covered by all OÖVV network companies. This service is distributed over 232 lines.

Rates

Due to the OÖVV, it is possible to use all public transport lines in Upper Austria with one ticket. The tariffs are calculated based on the zones crossed. Separate tariffs are charged for the core zones of Linz , Wels and Steyr .
