Oakes Fegley (born November 11, 2004 in Allentown ) is an American child actor .

Life

In his hometown of Allentown , Pennsylvania , Fegley began acting as a child. His first role was that of Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol after Charles Dickens . He later played the role of Chicken Soup in Really Rosie at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope . From 2013 Fegley starred in On Borrowed Time , directed by Oscar and Tony winner Joel Gray, in the role of Pud at the Two River Theater in Red Bank, New Jersey.

Fegley made his debut as a film actor in 2014 in the film Fort Bliss by Claudia Myers . In it he was seen on the side of Michelle Monaghan and Ron Livingston in the role of Paul Swann. In the tragi-comedy This Is Where I Leave You by Shawn Levy , which was released also in 2014, Fegley got the role of young Judd Altman. In the television series Boardwalk Empire , Fegley took on the role of the young Elias Thompson. As of 2014, Fegley starred in the crime series Person of Interest in the role of Gabriel Hayward for three episodes . In the same year Fegley got the lead role in David Lowery's film Elliot, the Dragon , where he plays a boy named Pete, who has a kite for a friend, alongside Oona Laurence and Bryce Dallas Howard . The film was released in theaters in August 2016.

In 2016, Fegley was given the male lead in Amazons Wonderstruck , directed by Todd Haynes . In it he plays a boy named Ben. The film premiered in Cannes in May 2017. In the film The Truth About Lies , who came to the US cinemas in January 2018 Fegley can be seen in the role of Boy.

His parents and sisters are also actors. According to his own statements, Fegley would like to become an electrical engineer or an architect.
