course

The Oberhermsdorfer Bach rises near the Oberhermsdorfer Talstraße and then flows along the Braunsdorfer Straße to Niederhermsdorf. It is dammed up near the Bergers Busch corridor to form a reservoir that was created in 1976. This serves to irrigate the sage fields of the Bombastus works and to protect against flooding. It then flows in an easterly and north-easterly direction in the valley towards the Niederhermsdorf town center, where it is dammed up in front of the old Niederhermsdorf school to form a school pond. It then flows in a north-easterly direction to the intersection of State Road 36 with the roads from Oberhermsdorf and Pesterwitz , where it flows into the Wiederitz. The part to the east of the Niederhermsdorf reservoir is also called Schlammbach .
