Oberperl is a part of the municipality of Perl in the Merzig-Wadern district ( Saarland ). Until the end of 1973 Oberperl was an independent municipality.

Oberperl is half a kilometer east of the capital Perl and about a kilometer north of the border with France . The place is in the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park .
history
As part of the regional and administrative reform in Saarland , the previously independent municipality of Oberperl was assigned to the new municipality of Perl on January 1, 1974 together with 13 other municipalities.
