Former municipal coat of arms

Blazon : "In silver, an upright red key with a beard that was executed to the right".

The color scheme has the community colors red and white as its origin. The coat of arms of the former municipality of Büschdorf is the coat of arms of the Lords of Montclair from the Clérmont family. The old Büschdorf, formerly called Bizzerdorf, recognized the Lords of Moncler, later Sierck-Moncler, as the court lords.

history

The village chapel, built in 1867 in neo-Romanesque style, is worth seeing. It is consecrated to Saint Michael and is the only church that does not belong to the diocese, but to the community. In 1986 and 2004 the interior of the chapel was extensively renovated. During the Second World War the original tower was blown up, after the war it was rebuilt in a different form. Büschdorf belongs to the parish of Tünsdorf with the places Bethingen, Nohn and Wehingen. This also explains the close cultural relationship between the two places.

Culture and club life

The volunteer fire brigade is also seen as the only independent association . It is regarded as a cultural bearer in the place and organizes the well-known Michaelsfest , which is celebrated for three days at the end of August and ends with a large fireworks display. The proceeds of the festival have often been used to finance purchases for the local community or parish.
