Odert is a district of the community -free municipality of Morbach in the Hunsrück in Rhineland-Palatinate .

With around 100 inhabitants (2019), Odert is the smallest district in the municipality of Morbach.

The coat of arms of Odert shows a black horseshoe on a silver background in the upper half. Below, on a green background, two crossed lifting hoes. The horseshoe is an old rural symbol of luck. The lifting hooks refer to the place name, which was named »Odinroth« in 1276 and means something like »raw dung of Udo«. Today the ending »roth« has been contracted to »rt«.
