history
The place was first mentioned in 1275 as "Oggelspurren". It was owned by the Counts of Grüningen-Landau . From the beginning of the 14th century it was part of the Warthausen dominion and from 1331 it was owned by the House of Habsburg . From 1446 the men were of stone with the place invested .
In 1695 the place came into possession of the Buchau Abbey . As a result of the secularization of the monastery in 1803, Oggelsbeuren came to the princes of Thurn and Taxis . The state sovereignty fell in 1806 to the Kingdom of Württemberg , which subordinated the place to the Oberamt Ehingen in 1810 . Until 1849 Oggelsbeuren was also under the civil administration of the Thurn und Taxis.
The hamlets of Aigendorf , Ellighofen , Riedenhof and Willenhofen also belong to Oggelsbeuren .
