Ole Häntzschel
Ole Häntzschel (* 1979 in Munich ) is a German illustrator and graphic designer . He specializes in infographics .
Life
Häntzschel studied visual communication at the University of the Arts in Berlin as well as in Venice , Zurich and Ann Arbor . He completed his studies with a diploma and has been developing infographics in his Berlin studio since then.
After completing his studies, he designed the "Maps of Germany" for Zeit magazine every week for about a year . In 2010 he and Zeit-Magazin editor Matthias Stolz published the book The Great Annual Show: Everything that is important in 2010 . In 2011 and 2013, two more books followed in collaboration with Matthias Stolz on the subject of infographics.
In the 2010/11 winter semester and 2012 summer semester, Häntzschel was teaching illustrative infographics at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences . His work has received several awards, including the Gold Malofiej Award, the world's most important infographic award.
Häntzschel works as a freelance info graphic designer for numerous print magazines, such as Zeit-Magazin, fluter , GEO Special , 11 Freunde , NZZ Folio , art Kunstmagazin , enormous , Monopol , Der Freitag and Dein Spiegel .
