Oleksij Jurijowytsch Bychenko ( Hebrew אולקסי ביצ'נקו; Ukrainian Олексій Юрійович Биченко ; Russian Алексей Юрьевич Быченко Alexei Jurjewitsch Bytschenko ; * February 5, 1988 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) is an Israeli figure skater who starts in a single run .
He is the runner-up European champion in 2016 , making him the first Israeli to win a medal at the European figure skating championships . At the Nebelhorn Trophy 2013 he secured a starting place for Israel at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . He also competed there himself and finished 21st.
