Olga Kurkulina

Olga Kurkulina ( Hebrew אולגה קורקולינה; Born May 18, 1971 in the Uzbek SSR , Soviet Union ) is an Israeli former athlete , bodybuilder and actress .

After immigrating to Israel, Kurkulina celebrated great successes in the national athletics championships between 1999 and 2004. She became Israeli champion in high jump and shot put and was also able to achieve good results in the disciplines javelin , hammer throw and heptathlon . Her national high jump record (1.87 m) lasted for years. She competed for Maccabi Haifa .

Bodybuilding and acting

After finishing her athletics career, Kurkulina started bodybuilding . In 2007 she became Israeli bodybuilding champion in the fitness class, in 2008 Russian champion and in 2012 fourth best in the world in her class.

In 2013, Kurkulina starred in the movie Kick-Ass 2 , where she played the villain Mother Russia . She was offered the role in the comic book adaptation after director Jeff Wadlow saw bodybuilding pictures of her.
