Olha Anatolijiwna Bibik ( Ukrainian Ольга Анатоліївна Бібік , English transcription Olha Bibik; born February 5, 1990 in Tschernihiw , then Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Ukrainian athlete who competes over 400, as well as 800 meters.

Athletic career

Olha Bibik started her career as a middle distance runner over 800 meters. Over this distance she finished fourth at the World Youth Championships in Ostrava in 2007 . In the same year she also won the silver medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival. All the more surprising was the preliminary round elimination at the Junior World Championships in the following year in Bydgoszcz, Poland . In 2009 she took sixth place in the final of the Junior European Championships . After the preliminary round at the U23 European Championships in 2011, Bibik no longer managed to catch up with the competition and switched to the 400-meter run.

In 2013 she finished fifth with the Ukrainian 4 x 400 meter relay at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg . In 2015 she helped in the preliminary round to the finals of the Ukrainian relay, which reached sixth place at the World Championships in Beijing . In 2016, she reached fifth place with the relay at the World Indoor Championships. She was part of the relay for the European Championships in Amsterdam , where Ukraine came in sixth. In the individual competition she was able to get to the semifinals. She qualified for participation in the Olympic Games , but failed there over 400 meters in the preliminary round and finished fifth overall with the relay.

In 2017 she qualified for the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade . She made it to the semifinals over 400 meters and won the bronze medal in the relay. With the relay she also competed at the World Championships in London , but was eliminated there in the preliminary round . A few weeks later, she participated in the World Student Games in Taipei , where she was disqualified with the relay.
