Oliver Arno (born January 14, 1980 in Bregenz ) is an Austrian singer , actor , songwriter and musical performer .

Life

Oliver Arno attended elementary school in Lochau from 1986 to 1990 , then the Bundesgymnasium Blumenstrasse in Bregenz, which he graduated with the Matura .

From 1989 to 1991 Arno was a member of a boys' choir, at the same time he took solo singing lessons at the Bregenz Music School . In 1991 piano training followed, and from 1994 guitar training.

In 1998 he began studying law in Vienna , which he completed in 2006. In 2002 he took part in the ORF's Starmania casting show and was among the last 48 candidates. From 2003 to 2007 he completed a degree in musical entertainment theater at the Vienna Conservatory . In 2008 he took part in the talent show I Tarzan, You Jane! part.

He celebrated his greatest stage successes in the musical Elisabeth as Tod and as Rudolf , in Les Misérables as Marius , in Sunset Boulevard as Joe Gillis and in The Phantom of the Opera as Raoul . He was seen as Werther in Lotte - a Wetzlar musical , for which he was nominated for the 2015 German Musical Theater Prize as "Best Actor". From 2013 to 2016 he was also a board member of OFFstage, an organization that wants to establish Off-Broadway plays in Vienna and Austria.

In 2016 he released his own debut song "Ein Held zu sein" and has been working on other songs with producer Alexander Kahr since 2017 . Since then he has published the title "This One Life". and "Held" in 2017 he made it into the top 30 artists in the category "Songwriter of the Year" at the Austrian Amadeus Awards .
