Oliver Korn

Oliver Korn (born June 10, 1984 in Düsseldorf ) is a German hockey player .

Oliver Korn played for the Düsseldorf HC since he was a child . Only in the 2006/07 season he competed for the Crefeld HTC , with which he became German indoor champion and European cup winner. In 2007/08, the striker returned to the Düsseldorf team and was runner-up behind the DCadA under coach Volker Fried , which meant that the Düsseldorf team qualified for the Euro Hockey League . In 2010, Korn moved to Uhlenhorster HC in Hamburg.

In 2005 Korn made his debut in the German national hockey team . In 2007 he was part of the team when he won the World Indoor Championships in Vienna. The German team won the FIH Champions Trophy in Kuala Lumpur outdoors . At the 2008 Olympic Games , Korn and the German team won the final against Spain 1-0 and became Olympic champion. After that, Korn was runner-up in the European Championship behind England in 2009 and World Championship runner-up behind Australia in India in 2010 . At the 2011 European Championships in Mönchengladbach, the German team won the final against the Netherlands. In 2012 he was again Olympic champion after the German 2-1 final victory over the Netherlands .

Oliver Korn has completed 200 international matches, 15 of them indoors. (As of August 5, 2016)
