Oliver Seidl

Oliver Seidl (born February 23, 1963 in Hornburg , Lower Saxony ) is a German manager who has been Chief Financial Officer on the board of Schenker AG since 2016 .

Life

Seidl grew up in Hornburg and attended high school in the castle in Wolfenbüttel . After completing his basic military service , he trained as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant at the paint and paint manufacturer Brillux in Braunschweig / Münster . Following his education he acquired with majors in controlling , business management and marketing at the University of Marburg , the intermediate diploma . At the University of Göttingen he earned a degree in business administration , graduating with a degree in business administration .

In 1990 Seidl started a trainee in the management junior group at Mercedes-Benz AG . A year later, he moved to the production plant in Bremen, where he was responsible for business advice and management of functional areas. From 1993 he headed the Controlling division of Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars for three years . In 1996 he became head of balance sheet planning at Mercedes-Benz AG. From 1997 to 2001 he was in charge of group controlling in the Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars division. In addition, Seidl became part of the post-merger integration core team in 1991 when Daimler-Benz / Chrysler merged.

After eleven years at Daimler AG in Stuttgart , he moved to Pfleiderer AG in Neumarkt. There he became head of corporate planning (group controlling, M&A , strategy), general manager , member of the board meetings and managing director . In 2004 Seidl became Head of Corporate Controlling, Accountings and Tax at Dürr AG in Stuttgart. At Dürr AG Stuttgart, he was also CFO of the Factory Assembly Systems business unit.

Two years later he became CFO of Loewe AG in Kronach . In 2010 Seidl became CEO of Loewe AG and until 2013 had overall responsibility for the CFO area plus strategy, marketing, sales, quality, customer service and public relations . In 2013 he switched to Media Saturn Holding GmbH in Ingolstadt as CFO and took over the disciplinary management of the CFOs of all countries and companies. The country CFOs were brought together by Seidl. He left the company in July 2016 because Media-Saturn minority shareholder Erich Kellerhals had intervened against an extension of his contract.

Seidl has been CFO and member of the board of Schenker AG since July 2016.
