Olivia Grigolli (* 1963 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian actress .

life and work

Grigolli completed her acting training while she was still at school and played at the regional theater in her hometown at the age of 18 .

She has been a recurring guest at the Salzburg Festival since 1983 and this year played Mathurine in the legendary Ingmar Bergman production by Molières Dom Juan . In this role she made her debut in the same year at the Munich Residenztheater , where she was permanently engaged until 1986. This was followed by freelance engagements, including at the Vienna Burgtheater (as Marianne in Horváth's Tales from the Vienna Woods , directed by Alfred Kirchner ), at the Theater Basel , the Staatstheater Stuttgart , the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg (as Karoline in Horváth's Kasimir and Karoline directed by Christoph Marthaler ). From 1992 to 1998 she was a member of the Volksbühne at Rosa Luxemburg Platz in Berlin, where she worked with Andreas Kriegenburg for the first time as Desdemona in Shakespeare's Othello .
