Seasons
2006 Winter Olympics in Turin
From February 12 to February 25, 2006, the late-night show was broadcast on the ARD broadcast days following the daily topics, with the exception of the last broadcast on February 25, which began at 9:10 p.m.
The program was 60 minutes long and gave a humorous review of the day's sporting events at the Winter Games. Schmidt took on the role of the sidekick . The show was broadcast live from the German House in Sestriere .
In the first broadcast, the studio guests included the figure skater and two-time Olympic champion Katarina Witt , as well as the luge and three-time Olympic champion Georg Hackl , who made his sixth and last Olympic appearance in Turin. In addition to the interviews with the guests, Harald Schmidt showed a small report entitled Avanti Harry about a visit to a sports facility. Among other things, he reported on curling training with the German team, on the interviewers' work in alpine sports and on the bobsleigh competitions.

2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing
The format was repeated at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing . For every German gold medal, a goldfish was placed in an aquarium.
The first program was shown on Saturday, August 9th at 11:10 pm, the last on August 28th at 10:10 pm.
Modification of the transmission format
After the 2006 Winter Games, thought was given to broadcasting a similar show for the 2006 Soccer World Cup in Germany with the same cast in the coming summer . However, this was later rejected by Harald Schmidt ("At the World Cup, I actually see myself lying in front of the TV with the wheat beer of my choice in shorts."). Waldemar Hartmann justified the decision against such a show with the fact that at the World Cup it is nowhere near as open to talk to athletes and because of strict FIFA requirements such open reporting (e.g. with a visit to the competition venues) is not possible.
A “round table” with former footballers, athletes, politicians, journalists and cabaret artists took place in the Waldis World Cup Club . Something similar was repeated at the European Football Championship in 2008 under the title: Waldis EM Club .
