The sailing regatta with the 6 m class at the 1936 Summer Olympics took place from August 4 to 12, 1936. The venue was the Olympiahafen Düsternbrook in the Kiel Fjord . The regatta was an open class, so both men and women were allowed to participate. The Swede Dagmar Salén was the only woman to take part in this competition. The British with helmsman Christopher Boardman and his crew consisting of: Miles Bellville , Russell Harmer , Charles Leaf , Leonard Martin became Olympic champions . The boat from Switzerland was disqualified because the helmsman André Firmenich did not comply with the Olympic amateur regulations.
