The competition with the folding boat two-person kayak over 10,000 meters at the 1936 Summer Olympics was held on August 7th on the Berlin-Grünau regatta course .

The competition consisted of one race. At the beginning of the race the boats from Austria and the Netherlands as well as the German boat formed the leading group. Halfway through the route, Swedes Sven Johansson and Erik Bladström caught up with this. In the further course of the race, the two Swedes were able to break away from the other two boats together with the German boat. One kilometer from the finish, the two Germans Willi Horn and Erich Hanisch were tied with the Swedish boat and delivered an exciting finale to the finish line, where they had to admit defeat to the Swedes by only three tenths.
