The competition in a two-man kayak over 10,000 meters at the 1936 Summer Olympics was held on August 7th on the Berlin-Grünau regatta course .

The competition consisted of one race. Before this, however, it was difficult to find a favorite, as all medal winners of the European Championships in 1934 were not represented. During the race, however, the German and Austrian boats were soon able to break away from the rest of the field. Halfway through the race the Austrians Viktor Kalisch and Karl Steinhuber tried to take the lead. The two Germans Paul Wevers and Ludwig Landen countered this attack and drove to the Olympic victory with a lead of 20 seconds over the Austrians.
