Canada took part in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin with a delegation of 95 athletes. In total, Canada was able to win nine medals during its ninth participation in the Summer Olympics, which puts it in 17th place on the medal table . The result at that time was the third-best result of the Canadian team so far, at the same time as Antwerp (1920) and after London (16 ×) as well as Amsterdam and Los Angeles (15 × each).
