Japan participated in the III. 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid with a delegation of 16 athletes in five disciplines, all men. Japan was the only participating nation from Asia. None of the athletes managed to win a medal. The best result was achieved by ski jumper Goro Adachi with eighth place.
