Omer Yengo (born November 19, 1954 ) is a former Congolese football referee .
Career
Yengo, a sales manager by profession , was a FIFA referee at least between 1990 and 1998 and had the right to direct international football matches. At the 1991 Women's World Cup , Yengo led the preliminary round match between Denmark and New Zealand (3-0) and the quarter-finals between the United States and Taiwan (7-0). In addition, the Congolese was used as a line judge in another preliminary round game . On January 10, 1993, he headed the final of the first ever CAF Super Cup between the Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca , winner of the national championship cup , and the Ivorian representative Africa Sports National from Abidjan, winner of the cup winners' competition (2: 2 a. V., 3: 5 i.E.). Two months later he came to the junior soccer world championship in 1993 in the game of the Norwegians against Saudi Arabia (0-0) as a game master. The goalless final first leg of the African Cup of Champions Clubs in 1994 between al Zamalek SC (Egypt) and Espérance Tunis (Tunisia) was also under the direction of Yengos.
The Congolese was used in four tournaments of the Africa Cup . After Yengo had led one game in both 1992 and 1994 , he was first in the group stage in January and February 1996 and later in the game for third place between the "Black Stars" of Ghana and the "Chipolopolo" from Zambia (0: 1 ) used. At the Africa Cup of 1998 , two more matches were added as a game director, so that Yengo can have a total of six appearances at the African continental tournament.
