E-sports tournaments
StarCraft: Brood War and StarCraft 2
From 2000 to 2012, OGN hosted the OnGameNet StarLeague (OSL) in StarCraft: Brood War or its successor StarCraft 2 . It was considered the most important StarCraft single league and was usually played three times a year. In addition, there was the Proleague as a team competition, which from 2005 was jointly organized by the competing channels OGN and MBCGame. In 2012 SpoTV took over the broadcasting rights for the (now discontinued) Proleague.
League of Legends
OGN Champions / League Championship Korea
OGN has been organizing a series of tournaments for the League of Legends (LoL) title since 2012 . In contrast to StarCraft, LoL is a team game where a team consists of five players. In addition to the prize money of currently ₩ 295,000,000 (around 260,000 US dollars or 230,000 euros), it is also about qualifying for the Riot League of Legends World Championship . Since 2016, the format has been geared to pressure from game developer Riot Games together with SpoTV.
