On Air is a German short film - thriller from the year 2010 by Carsten Vauth and Marco Riedl .

action

In the basement of his house, a hobby psychologist runs the pirate station Nighthawk . Every evening he goes "On Air" as Doc Rock . Unexpectedly, the serial killer Der Nachtschlitzer answers the phone one evening , about whom he recently made negative comments on his show. With quotes from Sigmund Freud and other quatrains, he provokes Doc Rock and tries to get him to "play along". He offers to save the life of his next victim if he admits that he is even just a "monster". After all, everyone has buried a "corpse in the cellar". Get Doc Rock to tell him what's the worst thing he's ever done.

In the hope of actually saving the young woman whom the night slayer is audibly tormenting, he confesses to having hit someone and not stopped. The accident victim has been in a wheelchair ever since. The night slayer is not yet satisfied with the answer and he urges him on. He wants more confessions, so Doc Rock admits he didn't help a young woman when a man beat and raped her. After all of this does not seem to satisfy the night slayer, he loses his nerve in front of the microphone and insults his challenger. Only partially satisfied, since Doc Rock has brought the innermost part of his soul to light, the night slayer threatens to take on Doc Rock's wife too.
