Oparno , formerly Opárno (German Wopparn ) is a village and part of the municipality of Velemín in the Czech Republic . The village is located seven kilometers north-west of Lovosice and belongs to the North Bohemian Okres Litoměřice .

geography

Oparno is located in the Bohemian Central Mountains on the left Elbe . North of the village is the Opárenské údolí ( Wopparner Valley ). In this picturesque valley , the Milešovský potok ( Milleschauer Bach ) flows east towards Malé Žernoseky , where the brook flows into the Elbe . The Lovoš cone mountain (570 m) ( Lobosch ) rises southeast of the village .

Neighboring towns are Chotiměř in the north, Malé Žernoseky in the east, Bílinka in the south and Velemín in the west.

The Lovosice – Teplice line of the North Bohemian Transversal Railway runs through the valley, with a stop below the town.

history

In 1991 the place had 80 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 45 houses in which 64 people lived.
