Ora Avital

Ora Avital (* 1960 in Rechovot ( Israel )) is an Israeli visual artist . She has lived and worked in Germany since 1993 .

life and work

Ora Avital studied from 1984 to 1988 at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem . This was followed by teaching positions, including from 1989 to 1991 at the Holon Institute of Technology as a lecturer for extracurricular studies in painting and drawing . Ora Avital moved to Düsseldorf in 1993 , where she lived until 1998 and worked as a freelance artist. Since then she has lived in Mönchengladbach .

Avital took part in numerous exhibitions and art projects at home and abroad, including in the Museum Kunstpalast and the Women's Museum in Bonn . The focus of her work is on painting, room installation and sculpture. In addition to her work as a freelance artist, she has been running a private art school in Mönchengladbach since 2011 and also leads workshops at the Abteiberg municipal museum . Ora Avital is a member of the c / o art association in Mönchengladbach.
