The Oravica (Polish Orawica ) is a 30.7 km long river, partly in southern Poland and mostly in northern Slovakia in the traditional Orava landscape .
The river rises in the Polish part of Western Tatras below the hill Siwiańskie Turnie ( 1065 m NPM ) and crossed by about 750 meters flow path the Polish-Slovak border and flows towards the west in the valley Tichá dolina in the Podtatranská brázda (German about trench below the Tatra ) . At the Oravice settlement it takes up the Bobrovecký potok on the left bank and runs north through the Skorušinské vrchy mountains until it reaches the Oravská kotlina basin near Vitanová . There the river turns to the west, meanders between Vitanová and Čimhová , flows past the southern edge of Liesek , meanders again and reaches the small town of Trstená . Behind Trstená the left bank Zábiedovčík comes into the Oravica, which flows into the Orava in Tvrdošín .
