Trstená (Hungarian Trsztena , Polish Trzciana , German in the Middle Ages Bingenstadt ) is a city in northern Slovakia .
It was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1371 and, in addition to the actual city, also consists of the town of Ústie nad Priehradou (incorporated in 1975) and the municipal areas of Oravské Hámre and Osada (both incorporated into Ústie nad Priehradou in 1953 ), which were submerged in the Arwa reservoir .
