Stephanskirche

The place arose in the 16th century under Wallachian law and was first mentioned in writing in 1567 as Bely Potok . It belonged to the estate of the Arwaburg and was administered by inheritors. In 1624 the village had about 180 inhabitants, but was devastated during the Kuruc uprisings. But shortly after the end of the uprisings, the population recovered to 300 (1715), in about 100 years it rose to 717 (1820), before it reached the highest point ever in 1869 with 1003 inhabitants. Due to waves of emigration, the total number over the years was between 570 and 750 inhabitants. In addition to agriculture, the population was known as potters, glassmakers and, in the 18th and 19th centuries, especially as stonemasons. Of the latter, the Belopotocký family, which has been active for several generations, should be emphasized. In the 19th century there was a paper mill in the village.

The place in Arwa County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary until 1918 and then became part of Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.

The current name literally means "Arwa-Weißbach" in German.
