Ján Kuboš (born February 28, 1966 in Trstená , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Spiš .

Life

Ján Kuboš received the sacrament of ordination from the auxiliary bishop in Trnava , Ján Sokol , on June 18, 1989 in Bratislava .

After his ordination, Kuboš was a parish vicar in Podolínec , Svit , Liptovský Mikuláš and Ružomberok . Afterwards he became pastor in Liptovská Osada and prison chaplain . From 1997 to 2017 Ján Kuboš was spiritual at the seminary and taught at the Theological Institute in Spišské Podhradie . In 2017 he became pastor and dean in Kežmarok . In addition, Kuboš was a member of the Council of Priests , the College of Consultors and the Commission for Liturgy of the Diocese of Spiš, as well as being responsible for the pastoral ministry and judge at the Church Court .

On 25 March 2020 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Quiza and auxiliary bishop in Spiš. The bishop of Spiš, Štefan Secká , gave him on 24 June of the same year in the Cathedral of St. Martin in Spišská Kapitula the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Slovakia, Archbishop Giacomo Guido Ottonello , and the auxiliary bishop emeritus in Spiš, Andrej Imrich .
