Andrej Imrich (born January 9, 1948 in Mníšek nad Popradom , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop emeritus in Spiš .

Life

Andrej Imrich received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Spiš on June 8, 1974 . From 1974 to 1983 he was chaplain in Rabča . In 1983 Imrich became pastor in Zázrivá . From 1985 to 1990 he was pastor in Trstená . In 1990 Andrej Imrich became pastor in Spišské Podhradie .

On 4 June 1992. appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Castellum Titulianum and auxiliary bishop in Spiš. The Bishop of Spiš, František Tondra , donated him episcopal ordination on July 11th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Slovakia, Archbishop Giovanni Coppa , and the Archbishop of Trnava , Ján Sokol .

On October 15, 2015, Pope Francis accepted his early resignation.
