The Heberberg is a nature reserve in the hamlet of Lamspringe in Lower Saxony in the Hildesheim district .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG HA 142 is 15 hectares in size. It is located directly south of Lamspringe in the north of the Heber ridge . The area managed by BUND has been a nature reserve since October 19, 1989. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the Hildesheim district.
The elongated nature reserve places part of the southern slope of the Heberberg and part of the Clausberg to the southeast under protection. It is characterized by species - rich semi -arid grassland and coppice forest. Limestone emerges in the protected area . Small, former limestone quarries can be found in several places .
