The semi-dry grassland near Irmenseul is a nature reserve in the district of Harbarnsen in the Lower Saxony municipality of Lamspringe in the district of Hildesheim .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG HA 123 is 2.4  hectares in size. It has been under protection since October 8, 1987. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the Hildesheim district.

The nature reserve is located in the Leinebergland southwest of Irmenseul, a district of Harbarnsen, and protects a semi- arid grassland exposed to the north on a slope on the eastern edge of the Sackwald forest . The shallow, weathered limestone soil was used in the past as a sheep pasture or hay meadow , which allowed a semi-dry lawn to develop. This provides a habitat for numerous threatened and vulnerable plant and animal species and is preserved today through maintenance measures, part of the area is temporarily grazed with sheep and goats. The BUND , which looks after the area, created an orchard meadow in the nature reserve as an additional habitat. A small limestone quarry at the foot of the slope has been included in the nature reserve .
