The Haseder Busch is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony community of Giesen in the Hildesheim district and in the city of Hildesheim .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG HA 053 is 48.6  hectares in size. Of this, 42.2 hectares are in the district and 6.4 hectares in the city of Hildesheim. The nature reserve is completely part of the FFH area "Haseder Busch, Giesener Berge, Gallberg, Finkenberg". In the south it borders directly on the nature reserve “ Mastberg and Innersteaue ”.

The nature reserve is located between Hasede and the Hildesheim industrial area Hafen, located on the Hildesheim branch canal . It protects an approximately 30 hectare, natural hardwood alluvial forest north of the Innerste and a section of the river with oxbow lakes . The alluvial forest has a high proportion of old wood . There are small areas of swampy alder and ash stands . In the north-west of the protected area and along the innermost, mostly moist grassland areas can be found. To the south of the innermost there are several ponds , where, like on the oxbow lakes, reed areas can be found.

The area has been a nature reserve since November 16, 1974. Responsible lower nature conservation authorities are the district of Hildesheim and the city of Hildesheim.

Kleeblatt nature experience area

The nature reserve is part of the Kleeblatt nature experience area, which extends in the north of Hildesheim and parts of the community of Giesen between Osterberg and Innerste. It includes the nature reserves "Haseder Busch", "Mastberg and Innersteaue", " Lange Dreisch and Osterberg " and " Giesener Teiche " and the Giesener Berge and is divided into four subject areas: "Water world" (nature reserve "Haseder Busch"), "Weidewald "(Nature reserve" Mastberg and Innersteaue ")," Open Weide "(nature reserve" Lange Dreisch and Osterberg ") and" Erdzeitreise "(nature reserve" Giesener Teiche "and Giesener Berge).
