The Schiefer Holzer Berg is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon town of Alfeld (Leine) in the Hildesheim district .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG HA 077 is almost completely part of the FFH area “Seven Mountains, Foothills” and borders the nature reserve “ Arid habitats - Seven Mountains, Foothills ”. The area has been a nature reserve since September 6, 1984. On December 28, 2017, the largest part of the protected area in the newly designated nature reserve "Arid habitats - seven mountains, foothills" opened. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the Hildesheim district.
The nature reserve is located north of the Alfeld district of Sack on a western slope of the foothills . The slope of pläners - limestone falls steeply to bag dump from. It is species-rich chalk grasslands , thickets and mixed deciduous forest fragments coined to which extensively used grassland followed.
