Sack is an eastern part of the town of Alfeld (Leine) in the Hildesheim district in Lower Saxony .

geography

The district of Sack is located in the Warnetal between the Seven Mountains and the Sackwald in the Sackmulde on state road  469, which meets the L 485, which leads to the city center in the west and to Adenstedt in the east .

history

The place was first mentioned in documents in 1205, when the local chapel was elevated to the status of a parish church.

In the course of the territorial and administrative reform, Sack lost its independence on March 1, 1974 and has since been part of the city of Alfeld (Leine).
