Gustav Heinze added a few registers to the factory in 1935, as did the Schuke company from 1951 to 1955 to 79 registers. In the 1970s the organ became increasingly unplayable. From 2003 to 2006 the organ workshops of Kristian Wegscheider and Johannes Klais restored the organ to its original condition from 1841.
Disposition The organ now has 56 registers again with three manuals and a pedal and mechanical slide chests.

In the St. Jakobi Church there is an organ, the case of which was built by Christian Gottlieb Richter in 1741 . New buildings followed by Ernst Julius Marx and Friedrich Albert Mehmel . Its organ was so badly damaged and decayed over the decades that a reconstruction or restoration no longer seemed sensible.
That is why in 2018 the organ building workshop was commissioned by Kristian Wegscheider from Dresden to build a new building in the historic housing. It should be based strongly on the historical baroque organs by Christian Gottlieb Richter and Ernst Marx. The pedal windchest from 1741 and 50 wooden pipes from Mehmel can also be used.
The organ should have 51 stops with three manuals and a pedal and be ready in June 2020.
