Ortaköy is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Aksaray . The district is located in the north of the province and borders the provinces of Kırşehir and Nevşehir . It was formed in 1957 and consists of the district town (with about 61% of the district population) and 30 villages, two of which have more than 1,000 inhabitants: Harmandalı 1.202 , Sarıkaraman 1.068 .
