Oscar Félix Villena

Oscar Félix Villena (born August 12, 1917 in Salta ; † October 8, 2004 ) was auxiliary bishop in Rosario .

Life

Oscar Félix Villena was ordained a priest on November 30, 1941 . Pope John XXIII appointed him on July 26, 1962 auxiliary bishop in Buenos Aires and titular bishop of Musti . He was ordained episcopal by the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Military Vicar of Argentina and Ordinary for the Byzantine faithful in Argentina , Antonio Cardinal Caggiano , on September 16 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Antonio Rocca , auxiliary bishop in Buenos Aires, and Manuel Menéndez , bishop of San Martín .

Villena attended the third session of the Second Vatican Council . Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of San Rafael on February 11, 1970, and he was instituted on April 5 of the same year. He resigned from his office on April 11, 1972. John Paul II named him auxiliary bishop in Rosario on April 30, 1982 . On April 7, 1994 the Pope accepted his age-related resignation.
