Oskar von Schwarzkopf

Oskar Achilles Gustav Schwarzkopf , from 1898 von Schwarzkopf , (born November 18, 1838 in Aalen , † May 30, 1903 in Stuttgart ) was court preacher in Stuttgart and general superintendent of Schwäbisch Hall and Heilbronn .

Life

After attending the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Schöntal from 1852, he began studying theology at the Tübingen monastery , which he completed in 1860 with a master's degree. After stations in Ravensburg and Rottenburg am Neckar , he became a repetiteur at the Tübingen monastery in 1864 . He held further positions as a clergyman in Stuttgart and Schorndorf . In 1872, at the request of Prince Hermann zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg, he was appointed city ​​pastor and district school inspector of Langenburg , and in 1874 dean there. In 1882 he moved to Schwäbisch Hall as dean and district school inspector , then in 1890 to Cannstatt . From 1894 he was a sovereign member and vice-president of the 5th and 6th regional synods.

In 1896 Schwarzkopf was appointed prelate and general superintendent of Schwäbisch Hall , then in 1900 prelate and general superintendent of Heilbronn . In his function as general superintendent he was a member of the second chamber of the Württemberg estates from 1896 to 1902 .

In 1902 Schwarzkopf was appointed chief preacher in Stuttgart and a member of the consistory , as well as an extraordinary member of the penal college.
