Oskar Soldmann

Oskar Soldmann (born October 2, 1915 in Schweinfurt ; † June 10, 1999 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Live and act

Soldmann was born the son of Fritz Soldmann, who later became a member of the Reichstag . He attended elementary school and secondary school, did his Abitur there and then worked in the labor service and in an export and import company in Hamburg . This was followed by further training and studies at the Hamburg Foreign Trade School and the Berlin Business School . During the Second World War he was in the Wehrmacht and was wounded three times in Russia . From 1945 he was active in the labor administration and as a department head.

From 1946 to 1956 Soldmann was a city councilor in Schweinfurt. He was also sub-district chairman and member of the Bavarian State Committee of the SPD. From 1954 to 1978 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

He married Marianne Wichtermann and acquired the German and Bavarian sports badges in gold twenty times .
