The Ospis ( Ospis-Sohl ) or the Ospisrain is a 439 meter high mountain in the Spessart .
geography
The wooded mountain is located in the Bavarian district of Miltenberg . The Eselsweg , a medieval trade route, now a delightful hiking trail, leads over the Ospis. It is located approx. 2 km south of the “Sohlhöhe” forest recreation area (above Röllbach ) and approx. 3 km northeast of the Franciscan monastery in Engelberg . The summit marks the highest point in the Großheubach district . In the southwest, the Ospis goes flat over to the Langenberg (421 m).
A bricked summit cross has stood there since 2007 .
