Ostroschez ( Ukrainian Острожець ; Russian Острожец , Polish Ostrożec ) is a Ukrainian village in Rivne Oblast .

Geographical location

Ostroschez located in Rajon Mlyniv , about 18 kilometers northwest of the Rajonshauptstadt Mlyniv and 50 kilometers west of the Oblasthauptstadt Rivne on the banks of Tyschyzja .

local community

On June 10, 2016, the village became the center of the newly established rural community Ostroschez ( Острожецька сільська громада Ostroschezka silska hromada ). The 13 villages Bakoryn ( Бакорин ), Borbyn ( Борбин ), Malyn , Novosilky ( Новосілки ), Pewscha ( Певжа ), Pidhaj ( Підгай ), Pjannje ( П'яаннott ), Pjannje ( П'яаннott ), Pjannje ( П'яаннott ) , Salawja ( Залав'я ) Zboriv ( Зборів ) Stavyshche ( Ставище ) and Ujisdzi ( Уїздці ). history

The village was mentioned in writing in 1528 for the first time and belonged to the third partition of Poland the nobility Republic of Poland (in the province of Volhynia ), then came to the Russian Empire , where the government Volyn was. In 1918/1921 it fell to Poland and came to the Volyn Voivodeship in the Powiat Dubno , Gmina Malin . After the beginning of the Second World War , the Soviet Union occupied the area and made the place the capital of the Ostroschez Rajon in January 1940 . After Germany's invasion of the Soviet Union in June 1941, the place came under German rule until 1944 (incorporated into the Reichskommissariat Ukraine ), but was annexed again by the Soviet Union after the war and added to the Ukrainian SSR . On January 21, 1959, Ostroschez Raion was dissolved, annexed to Mlyniv Raion and Ostroschez remained a simple village. Since 1991 it has been a part of independent Ukraine.
